Underwater motoring in cumbria

Thankfully pretty much unscathed by recent floods and sympathy goes out to anyone who has been hard hit.  My worst experience – aside from getting wet like everyone else – was having to drive through a river running across the A590 at Newby Bridge, and survive the selfishness of an oncoming off the road ‘dorkmobile’ (in other words an off-roader which never goes off road but makes the driver feel superior because he takes up so much space on the road and in car parks).  This individual drove towards me through the floor at twice the speed of any other vehicle, no doubt secure in his high wheelbase isolation and almost swamped my car and the one behind me.  Morons like that driver give even morons a bad name.

I’m belatedly learning about the digital universe for the first time.  And it is fascinating, and will give me the chance to share my thoughts, some images, and some ideas on line.  They will cover work – I work for the Uk’s only submarine builder BAE Systems and it is a terrific business within a fascinating industrial sector – films, music and life as we know it.  Hope you will find it interesting.
